Stephen Groves - Director
Our Director Stephen Groves initially started his career in Estate Agency just over 10 years ago and quickly decided this was the industry for him. After learning the basics with a corporate estate agency he was quickly promoted to a valuer and after that was made Branch Manager of one of their offices. The results from his office grew and grew which made other companies approach Stephen for his services. Five years past and Stephen’s office which covered a 15 mile radius was market leader but the urge to channel his energy into his own company was too strong. Stephen's became the reality of opening his own agency when he acquired Home Estate Agents Limited. Within a few short months Home Estate Agents was growing to be one of the market leaders in the area and is continually growing to this day. Having been brought up in Davyhulme, schooled at Davyhulme Primary and Wellacre High Stephen’s local knowledge is second to none, extremely important in today’s world where more people are moving into the area.
Nick Braiden – Sales Manager
Since first joining the world of Estate Agency Nick Braiden has never looked back. Stephen employed Nick for the role of Trainee Negotiator whilst still working for a corporate agency just under five years ago. In an extremely competitive office environment Nick flourished and quickly became a top salesman within the company. Normally that would be enough in itself but Nick’s passion for high quality customer service is where he differs from many people within the industry. He understands how important you home is and how stressful the moving process can be if you have no support from your agent. Working extremely closely with Stephen, Nick’s role is to ensure the office runs smoothly and effectively. Having been a top seller in the corporate environment Nick is now a huge part of what is a growing independent organization.
Maureen Wynne – Administrator
In our industry without an administrator we have no business. Having worked in the industry for over ten years her experience in her role is vital to ensure your property is advertised as attractively as possible. From the basics of ordering your For Sale sign to placing your home on the websites, Maureen is key to ensuring we sell your property for the best price possible.
Billy Hill – Lettings Manager
After a successful career in the public sector Billy joined us in 2010 bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with people of all walks of life. Within the first few months of Billy joining the company, the Lettings department here at Home Estate Agents has grown and developed into one the area’s leading lettings departments. Billy’s primary role as lettings manager is to manage, grow and monitor the managed and non managed letting stock whilst delivering the highest level of customer service. Offering a dedicated lettings manager offers our current and any future clients a service, which we think, is head and shoulders above our competitors.
John Scolfield – Viewing Representative/negotiator
John started working for the company in 2010 and has proved himself as an important member of the Home Estate Agents team. Through the week John’s role is partially office based and partially out on the road. Monday to Friday (with the exception of Tuesdays which are then carried out by our Director) John does our accompanied viewings from 9:30am till 9:pm which ensures your property is available when purchasers are free to view. All of us have busy lives and in our opinion we need to be able to do a viewing when the prospective purchaser wants to. On Saturdays again John is out of the office all day accompanying the viewings. Many clients feel uneasy about doing a viewing themselves and feel the professional touch of an accompanied viewing is something that can only help find that all important buyer. On Sundays John’s then office based chasing feedback and offers from the viewings that took place the day before. John’s passion is customer service and having received numerous testimonials he’s clearly a popular member of our team.
